Appreciation is the lost aspect of acceptance. I have noticed an decrease in appreciation, and an increase in expectation. Not only of others, but in ourselves mainly. We have devalued what we give and do so much that when others want to appreciate that or give back we simply can’t fathom it. What are your expectations for yourself?
I have really high expectations, like, I try to own my shit. It’s easy to point out the fault in others without doing your own accounting first. I try to be a demonstration of balance and take responsibility for my actions.
What does spirituality mean to you? How do you bring it into practice?
Most of my spirituality revolves around waiting for the song. Waiting for the feeling in my body that tells me to start writing.I guess for me, spirituality is a sense of connectivity- with my craft, with other people. Standing in a room and sensing that I am a part of a greater whole.
