Our brain is a muscle – the same concept applies. We need spaces to feel safe being creative collaboratively without scrutiny and without structure. We need this to make better art, deeper connections, and stronger communities.

The first herHABITAT that was open to the public was our Open Mic. It was a warm evening filled with talent, love, laughter, joy, and community. What is the hardest emotion for you? Why?
Anger is the hardest emotion. I have been raised to believe that it’s wrong to lose my temper and that I should suppress anger. Happiness and sadness are easy for me to express and experience. However, anger is something that is somewhat more difficult to grasp and deal with.

What are your expectations for yourself?
